Preparing college and career ready students with transferable 21st century skills is one of the goals of New Town’s Completer Program. The school’s Completer Pathways place students in real world situations that encourage problem solving and innovation. In many programs, industry certification and/or post-secondary opportunities are available. At New Town, we are preparing students for futures in some of the fastest growing industries.
A completer program contains a minimum of four credits offered in a prescribed sequence in a program area. Upon graduation, students will be able to enter employment, register for an apprenticeship, earn industry certification, and/or attend a post secondary school in order to earn a certificate or degree. Capstone work experience (CWE) may be available to eligible students in the junior or senior year. Students are also able to earn articulated credits at the Community College of Baltimore County.
