Student Devices:
In the 2024-2025 school year, each student and that student’s parents/guardians will be financially responsible for damage or loss to any Chromebook or other device assigned to the student. There will be a 2 WEEK grace period, beginning August 26th and ending on September 10th at 2:45 PM, for students to get working devices. Please check your email and the school website for additional details, including the repair cost chart and a tech checklist. No fines will be assessed during the grace period, and students are encouraged to recover/report lost devices and swap any devices with issues. Devices may be swapped or reported as lost in the school library during the student’s lunch time. For questions, contact Mrs. Turek at

1. I CAN'T LOG IN!
Login with your BCPS credentials. Use your school [email protected] and your school password.
2. I DON'T SEE WORD!
Online Version:
The online versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. are available at https://www.office.com/. Use your school [email protected] and your school password.
Desktop Version:
The desktop versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. will be sent remotely to your device by BCPS. Plug in the charger, connect to your wifi, login to the device, and leave it turned on. (You may need to type "sleep settings" into the lower left search box and adjust them so the device will stay on.) Updates are sent overnight, and it may take more than 24 hours. Once updated, the Office icons may not appear on your desktop. Use the search feature in the taskbar to look for Word. If it appears in your search, right-click, and Pin to Start. From Start (the Windows icon in lower left), you can drag the Word icon to your desktop. Repeat these steps for the other Office 365 products.
3. MY COMPUTER IS MAKING A LOUD SCREECHING NOISE!
Right-click on the speaker icon in the lower right-hand side of your taskbar.
Choose "Open Volume mixer."
Click on the speaker that you see in the box.
Click on the “Enhancements” tab.
Check the box that says “Disable all sound effects.”
Click "OK."
