Tristen Butler: Dance

[email protected]
Hey Hey!! my name is Tristen Butler and I am the Dance Teacher here at NTHS, I grew up in BCPS system where I attended Sudbrook and Carver Center for school. I received a scholarship to AMDA NY/LA where I received my degree in dance. I've always been a leader and where I found my leadership role was at Studio "A" in Randallstown, MD. I started dancing there at the age of 7 and started teaching at 13. Since then I've become an Award Winning National Choreographer and also danced for Kanye West Sunday Service, 106 & Park and Chuck Brown just to name a few... I am extremely excited to be working here and I can not wait for you all to see what I have done with these wonderful students!

Greetings, New Town Family! I am Bryan A. Flippin, the Band and Orchestra Teacher at New Town High School. Before arriving to New Town, I lived in the Chicagoland area and North Carolina. I graduated from the greatest HBCU, The Illustrious Fayetteville State University (Fayetteville, NC), with a B.A. in Music Education. While there, I was the Head Drum Major of the Marching Bronco Express and a member of several other student service and performance organizations. I earned a Master's Degree in Conducting and French Horn Performance from Northern Illinois University. I have played with and conducted several ensembles and world-renowned musicians ranging from The Fayetteville State Wind Ensemble, Fayetteville Symphonic Band, Clarion Brass Ensemble, Northern Illinois University Symphony & Wind Ensemble, Fermi Community Orchestra, and more. I advocate for the Marching Arts and look forward to starting the "Titan Legion" Marching Band the following year. Additionally, I have experience working with several high school and college programs throughout the United States. I am so fortunate to be able to create music with the musician-scholars of New Town. The pillars of our program will be Musicianship, Integrity, and Discipline. "Don't let your talent take you where your character cannot keep you."
